Australia: Callide Wind Farm – Queensland
The proposed Callide Wind Farm project has the potential for an installed wind turbine capacity of some 400MW, comprising both permanent and temporary elements.
This project is at the beginning of the development process. Initial meetings have recently been held with the State Assessment Referral Agency and Banana Shire Council. The next step is for DP Energy to engage with neighbours, local interest groups and stakeholders to better understand potential impacts from the development. In addition, baseline characterisation will be carried out commencing in October 2020 with ecological walkover surveys to identify potential sensitivities within and around the site which will aid the design definition of the project.
