Wind Sites Ireland Carrane Hill 2 Wind Farm County Sligo The second phase of the Carrane Hill Wind Farm (Carrane Hill 2) consists of an additional two Gamesa G52 turbines bringing the total installed capacity to around 5MW. The extension turbines continue the existing row of the four Carrane Hill machines to the northwest. Road access is provided by the main wind farm tracks and the extension will export power via the existing export line to the ESB substation at Corderry. Carrane Hill 2 has full planning permission and a Gate 2 Connection Offer. It is scheduled to build before the end of 2009.
