Why DP Energy?

DP Energy has a long successful track record in identifying and developing onshore wind projects throughout the UK, Canada, Ireland and Australia including over 180 MW of built wind energy projects comprising seven projects and 114 turbines. In this time we have gained a high level of project management expertise and have extensive skills in all aspects of wind farm development.

Our key strengths are in identifying viable sites, and recognising early in the development process key environmental and other project issues and resolving them. We have substantial experience of stakeholder and statutory consultee consultation, and also negotiation of contracts with suppliers, engineering contractors and distribution companies.

Once planning permission is obtained DP Energy has substantial experience in raising debt and equity for wind farm projects and has built and operated a number of projects using a variety of turbines from Vestas, Gamesa and GE for a number of years.

We are not wind resource consultants seeking to measure wind resource or land agents seeking to ‘bank’ numerous prospective sites. Our goal is to identify and consent solid buildable projects, and once planning consent is gained to take these through into build and operation.
