Corrie Mountain (Arigna) was the second wind farm development undertaken by the directors of DP Energy and the first within the Republic. The project was awarded am Alternative Energy Requirement power purchase contract (AER 1) in 1995, obtained planning permission in 1996 and was constructed in 1998.
