Booltiagh 2 Wind Farm
County Clare
The proposed Booltiagh Extension (Booltiagh 2) consists of the addition of a further six turbines to the Booltiagh wind farm. The consists of a further turbine row (comprising a further three machines) to the east, and a three turbine group to the north. This will increase the overall installed capacity by 9.0 MW giving a total of 31.5MW.

The locations of the six turbine sites have been chosen so that all machines lie within areas which are already under commercial forestry. The turbines will use the main Booltiagh wind farm infrastructure – site entrance, turbine access roads, and will connect to the existing on site substation and ESB National Grid interconnection point
