The Barrboy site is situated on the southern slopes of Barrboy Hill and has a mean site elevation of around 350 m and an average wind speed of 8.5metres/second. It lies approximately 10 km west of Dunmanway in County Cork , on an area of open ground used extensively for sheep grazing.

 
Barrboy is not yet under construction and is awaiting a power agreement.
